Israelis strike again with another great 2.0 idea. Qoof is a "video commerce" platform that lets esellers and retailers sell their products through video widgets that can be distributed almost anywhere online.

Billing itself as the first video commerce company, Qoof connects content sites -- publishers, bloggers, affiliate sites, etc. -- to retailers through its widget platform. Publishers place the widget on their sites and download the most relevant products from Qoof to display on their widgets. Back-end reporting lets them keep accurate track of sales driven through the widget so they can collect commissions and optimize the featured product mix.

Qoof moving day! - Today we are moving to our new deluxe duplex office suite!

Today is moving day! After 15 months in our last location we are today moving to new office space. In the picture you can see the moving truck and a picture of Qoof Park in the background. We are excited about our new larger, cleaner office space with a huge fridge (very important), but in a way we are going to miss the bright pink room from the old office space.

Mashable covers Qoof

Mashable just posted coverage about our company and they did a great job. Qoof was a co-sponsor at their recent event in Tel-Aviv and it was great hanging with Adam Hirsch and crew. Qoof makes it to top 5 at TWS2008

More then 90 web 2.0 companies applied and were judged by an All-Star panel that included Guy Kawasaki, Om Malik, Pete Cashmore, Jeff Clavier, Kfir Pravda, and Chris Brogan to name a few.

But at the end of the day only 10 companies would be selected to present at TWS 2008. Qoof was thrilled to make it to the top 10, but we also found out that we made it to the top 5! Considering the competition we were up against and the quality of the judges, this was truly a big honor!
The event was awesome! We really had a great time and our presentation was by far the most memorable. (Don't believe us? The videos of the presentations are suppose to be posted soon at www.tws2008.com so you tell us!) Om Malik was the Key Note Speaker and Yossi Vardi was entertaining as always. We met with a lot of great potential investors and partners and the sushi wasn't so bad either.

Qoof Reaches Top 4 at Silicom Ventures Israel Summit

Qoof was chosen as one of 33 companies that presented at the SilicomVentures International Summit held in Israel. Out of the 33 companies, Qoof was 1 of 4 chosen for the final round. What makes this feat more outstanding is that 90% of the companies presenting were either bio-tech or Clean Tech and Qoof was the only one of the 4 that was web 2.0 based. But we went into the final round with our heads held high knowing that we were going up against insumountable odds (just the way we like it) and we put on a great show. And we should have won! But the 4 judges who represented VC firms in the US and Israel all were clean tech and bio tech investors and so in the end a company that "blows wind" won. No, we are not bitter :)
